Installation Guide Overview

• Place the power supply at least 3.6 m from pool edge, 12 cm above ground.
• Uncoil the floating cable completely; connect to power supply.
• Lay excess cable neatly beside the unit—never leave loops in the water.
• Gently lower the F1 R into the pool; let it sink fully before powering on.
• Plug into a GFCI-protected outlet and press “On.” The robot begins its selected cycle.
• To pause mid-cycle, press “On/Off” once; press again to resume

Maintenance Tips

• After Each Cycle: Press filter-release button, lift out filter cartridge, rinse both sides and air-dry.
• Monthly Propeller Check: Remove debris around propeller under the outlet cover, then reattach securely.
• Cable Care: Spread and coil the floating cable after each use to prevent tangles.
• Storage: Disconnect power, dry all parts thoroughly, and store indoors away from sun exposure.

The F1 R pairs via Bluetooth only with the BWT Best Water Home app.  From your smartphone you can schedule cleaning cycles of 1 h 30 m, 2 h or 2 h 30 m; start, pause or stop a run remotely; and set a delayed start to suit your routine. Real-time status updates display cycle progress and filter-full alerts, and push notifications let you know when cleaning is complete or maintenance is required. You can review past cleaning history, rename your device for easy identification and receive over-the-air firmware updates to ensure your F1 R always runs the latest navigation and performance improvements
